Mrs. Cernosek

I am Melissa Cernosek, and I have the privilege of teaching 4th-grade reading and social studies at East Elementary. Since coming to East in 2017, I have dedicated my career to education, having begun my journey in 2005. I graduated from Carthage ISD in 1999 and pursued my academic aspirations at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, followed by a Master of Education in School Counseling.

In September 2021, I married my husband, Ryan, and together we share our home with a miniature poodle named Copper and a Shih Tzu named Rocky. Additionally, I am fortunate to have a bonus son, Logan, and three lively nephews—Colton, Jacob, and Justin.

I am truly passionate about my role as an educator and feel incredibly blessed to contribute to the growth and development of our students at East, guiding them to become the leaders they are destined to be.
